can someone tell me what campsite i need for the race

I'm not sure if it's still there, but there was a campsite in Stonethwaite further down the valley, it's national trust and it used to be about £1.50 a night. It was well rough! You had to boil your water from the taps for drinking, ended up getting water from the stream and boiling that, and you had to take a torch if you went to the bog because there were no lights.
Cheap though.
I thought the campsite on the corner was pretty reasonable after being to places like sykeside near Brotherswater and the National Trust site in Langdale.
We just turned up last year Daz - it's a big field & only for the race, so there's plenty of room.Quote:
