I could hear you cursing about your camera battery just as I went past but I was being deafened by the blood rush as I crested the second rise.

A top race and thanks very much to our Glossop pals for organising it. Sorry I couldn't stay and enjoy the convivialities of the Drovers' :-(

well run race. good supportive marshalls thought my lungs were going to explode at the top of the nab, reckon there was three still to finish after me!!!!!!!!!:)

...and so it was, 27.40 by my Watch!!

I forgot about the track at the start but apart from that what a top race. That last climb was a killer and despite trying to Pysche Grouse out by shouting to Geoff that he was fading fast he still got away on the last descent.:o Fleeter was also off in front and was untouchable.

We had the same problem. Mrs Noel came home with impressive blood-smeared slashes to her ankle after overtaking through some brambles. I wanted to get a photo before she washed it and they turned into innocuous-looking scratches. But when I got the camera out - "recharge battery pack" :(

Loved it! Great course, organisation and marshalling. Lots of friendly smiling (knackered) faces and good to identify some forumites.

Where was the second climb then? ;)

I too had an impressive splurge of blood covering one shin courtesy of a nest of brambles, nice eight inch gouge down the front of my leg after showering it down!

Great pics Geoff, I make a fleeting appearance in one looking very serious...

Great way to cap the evening off in the Ladybower with Ian and meeting the rest of the DPFR warts.

I think those results need checking. Looking at the Pennine runners, we seemed to have gained an extra Elaine Rose and an extra Frank Fielding in the race, and lost poor old Neil Goldsmith!

And what happened to Margerine????? I only saw Grouse!!

I spotted this earlier when Charlie emailed the club and have let him know, so the revised version should be out soon.

Rudolph - is the comment about Margarine anything to do with the results? (I don't know who Margarine is!)

Margarine is on the results - a Glossopdale runner unless I'm mistaken
