Great, thanks for the speedy service!
Anyone heading to Carlton Bank on Tues?
Me hopefully. I had a sore throat when Gisboro Moors was on but I love running up Carlton Bank. Again, look for a fat past-it looking guy.
I haven't got my entry in in advance but assume it won't be full so can enter on day. Anyone else up for it? Using this as a bit of pre Three Peaks training - in many ways very similar  (1) Capt Cooks (2) Roseberry Topping and Highcliff Nab. Oh and about half as long.
I'll be there in Pony green. Did the race last year and really enjoyed it. Another good part of the 3Ps preparation is that it alternates fast sections with the climbs.
Hopefully I will be going up. Whats the terrain like? The map looks fairly interesting.
Road, fields, woodland, moor, track, road, path, road, forest path, forest track, steps, moorland, blooming big hill, more moors, wood, road. :D
I'm probably wearing trail shoes (Wave Harriers), though I think I needed Walshes in muddy conditions last year.
Been for a run round part of the course tonight and it's bone dry. The only rain forcast is for some light rain on Saturday morning. Trail shoes should be fine. I managed a couple of blisters wearing my old RX Terraines since it was so hard and dry. The only really dodgy part is the path down through the woods near to the end - it's the same path that you have to climb near to the start. It's usually quite slippery and muddy. Forecast for Sunday is dry.
Thanks for info. Looks like it will be trail shoes then, with a pair of fell shoes in the car. In case of rain.
