Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
I have a question is there a minimum kit requirement and I don't mean do they have to have a bike:rolleyes:
waterproof map compass whistle etc, they seem to be carrying even less that runners
-
Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
Essential kit is whistle and survival bag (orange polythene, BMC approved). Waterproof is organisers discretion on race day.

Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
@wharfeegoo Good video. :)

Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
Richpips, your photo's are awesome! Great to see a photographer going to different places around the course and taking different angles :D

Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
Wharfeego's video is very good but have you seen this one, its on the BCF website and uses a headcam.

Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
Almost makes me want to enter next year!!!!
Almost...
-
Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
Well, what is stopping you? You recced it, you got a brandnew bike for it, you supported a rider twice, if you can't do it, no-one can... :D
Holdon, no, on hindsight, don't! Who else is going to do my support if you are riding next year? ;)

Can't tell from that pic, but 'Cycling Weekly' insinuates (in this mornings issue) that it's a previous winner of the event?!?!

Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
A previous multiple winner I understand

Fred 'ad his dog with 'im up Simon Fell...he's on my vid at 1.24mins. Surely an ex-pro's rear end wouldn't be this big?

you don't often see the big ring on Pen y Ghent !
-
Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
on a nicer front, charming to meet Han and the equally delighful AntiSoc
slightly less pleasant to face plant in a bog off, followed by a jumping mount onto the family jewels which almost took out the lead lady...oops

Unfortunately I couldn't get his old bike round so fast this year.
-
Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
Bloody hell we were lucky with the weather! I am so glad it wasn't like this last week.
-
Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
Three Peaks Cyclocross 2011.
Just a reminder that entries are online from Friday 1st July.
Here
-
Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
Just entered online. Much easier this year on Si entries page, on the the waiting list, fingers crossed:thumbup:
-
Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
I seem to be on that waiting list as well, all of a sudden, even though I have a dodgy shoulder and it isn't certain what's wrong with it... In the hope that it will be sorted, done and dusted come September :)
In the meantime, I best practice shouldering the bike to the left :w00t: just in case...:closed:

ooops for got to enter.....too late now iguess theres always next year ...ho hum! ;)
-
Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
No Ian, it isn't too late! Different entry system this year, open till 17 July to go on a waiting list, from which they will select the definitive list at a later date, so plenty of time still :)
Mind, already almost 400 entries when I registered... so clearly a popular race. Best race I have ever done, between fell running and bike racing, so well worth it even if it is just the once :)
-
Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
I've registered as well. With negligible experience I don't hold out much hope of getting an entry.
-
Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
I'll be gutted if I don't get in. The only race I really care about.
-
Re: Three Peaks Cyclocross 201
Im on the waiting list too , We need more races like this ,But little less road though
This might be of interest
