Yes, really enjoyed this. Intriguing story and interesting characters.

Get Shorty - just starting now on ITV4...
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
Yes, I should have learned Swedish, read the book in Swedish,or watched the earlier Swedish film and read the subtitles..... Whatever... Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara made a fabulous English language version. Ignore all the snobs and watch a great film.
It's not about being a snob, the swedish version is just better.
The Hurt Locker, Film4, 9pm. Not seen it before but heard good reviews.
We went to see 'Avengers Assemble' last Saturday (curiously, thought that phrase is used in the comics, it's not referred to in the film)
A great fun-packed film, with the expected friction between characters; the fight between IronMan & Thor.
There was one very big surprise though in the second half of the film. I'll let you find out for yourselves
I watched Bad Teacher last night with Cameron Diaz. (Well when I say 'with' Cameron I may actually mean with Harry my dog but Cameron was in the film :) ). Really quite funny in places but with two or three over the top and more to the point completely unfunny crudities thrown in. It was probably not nearly as funny as it should have been but it was still a nice evening spent with Cameron...
If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on being what you've always been. Nothing changes unless you make it change.
Samuel L Jackson in 'Fury' (Released as 'The Samaritan' elsewhere). A reasonable watch for a Saturday evening when you've nothing else to do due to be stitched up at work.
Lost boys. Still every bit as good as the first time I saw it all those years ago.
Chronicle
Its in the Cloverfield/Blair Witch style but better done in my opinion. Three teenagers acquire telekinesis powers and the way they deal with them reflects their own circumstances in life. I enjoyed it
Mad max 4 "Fury road" is on it's way and I'm pretty excited about it. It's got big production with Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron in the lead roles. The cars and trucks for the film look amazing. Big fan of the first 2, and hopeful that this will be better than "Beyond the thunder dome".
The devil rides out. Classic hammer horror at it's best

original Swedish version of Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - starting on Film4 now...
Going to watch The town tonight. Usually can't stand Ben Afleck, but I've heard very good things about this.
Tis very good
Quadrophenia Starting on BBC4 now.
Triangle (2009) a psychological suspense horror film that leaves you wondering where the story actually starts in the film. Its a continuous loop (I have read it described as a mobius loop!) set mostly on a 1930s ship which is the nautical equivalent of the Overlook Hotel in The Shining down to the axe wielding bit as well. The whole film seems to be portrayed as a Sisyphean task suggested by the name of the ship Aeolus (father of Sisyphus as explained in the film) though it seems obvious the main character is the one who cheated death and therefore got locked into this terrible loop it never explains what happens to one of the other characters who disappears early on?. Definitely a 8 out of 10 on the head scratching scale :D
Forest Gump.
Noooooooooooooo........!
God I hate that film
Watched 'Walk The Line' the other night.
Not seen it for a few years, a damned good effort by all involved
Watching 'Hero' for the second time. Probably going to see 'Prometheus' on Wednesday.
fwiw both people I know who've seen Prometheus thought is was pants
meanwhile... nothing on telly... DVD comes out of the collection...
"Long Live The New Flesh!"
[easy clue]
The Muppets (2011) Very nostalgic even if the voices are a bit diifferent now. I thought the chickens stole the show though :D

Bee Movie, watching it with my little one. Can't believe you can watch a child's film and have the occasional 'laugh out loud' moment. Good old Jerry Seinfeld.
Would recommend it.
Bee Movie is a big fave in the Slug Household too
a lot of the humour goes over the heads of small children though, which I think explains why it wasn't a bigger film when it was released
same with AntZ (Woody Allen)
Finding Nemo (Ellen DeGeneres) is playing back-to-back in our house atm - that's not bad either
other bearable ones include Madagascar (Chris Rock) and Tangled
one to DEFINITELY AVOID would be Happy Feet
Watched Magnificent 7 earlier, now just deciding on which Caine film to view. I'm thinking Zulu
on tv now
Hellboy II
fast paced, visually inventive...
entertaining is probably the best word
Just back from The dark knight rises. It lives up to the hype
You can definitely recognise Hardy's role as Bronson in the character Bane.
Glad you enjoyed it and got back safe mate, sad news in America, thoughts and prayers to all concerned, begs the question, why?

Yeah dark days. I didn't know anything about it until after I'd seen the films.
Something very crazy is clearly going on with how's he's rigged his flat up with explosive's. It's going to be interesting to see what it is. Though I'm sure the yanks will initially blame it on a metal band, or a film.
