Geoff has just been giving the England team a verbal
bashing on TMS. No one in the England team has been

Would have loved to see Boycott playing T20, cant remember him ever hitting a six but running between the wickets was his strong point
England did not lose a Test match in which he scored a century and only 20 of his 108 Tests ended in defeat.
His average of 47.72 runs over 193 innings is the highest completed career average among England players since 1970.
Opening partners[edit]
Such was Boycott's longevity in the game that he had 16 opening partners for England. (Note that the figures in the Innings column below show all his Test Match partnerships with his opening partners (not just his partnerships with them for the first wicket). For example, he did have 46 partnerships with John Edrich but only 35 were opening partnerships).[222][223]

An unbiased opinion of Geoff the man :D

2 balls to survive to a draw but can't just manage it :( Great innings by Moeen Ali and Jimmy Anderson nearly kept them out. About the only positives in our innings.
Yorkshire won again in 3 days.
Last time I checked the England first innings score we were not doing that well. Just checked again and we managed to get a first innings lead ? Apparently Joe Root and Jimmy Anderson dug them out of the mire.
Record last wicket stand of 198:)

It's funny that when they have a large last-wicket stand, it's bad captaincy from Cook. But when we get a world-record last-wicket stand, no-one was blaming the Indian captain.
WooHoo! Third time lucky for Matt Prior as he finally catches one
All the pundits agreed it was a rubbish day from England yesterday. Trying to bounce out the Indians on a green pitch - daft. Is that bad captaincy or the bowlers not doing what they were told? Either way it's down to Cook.
Chef's gone again. For a great batsman he's making a lot of poor shots to get himself out.
I've not enjoyed his captaincy at all. I reckon give it to Broad and let Cook focus on his batting.
I agree with Boycott, Cook should return to his county to get some runs and confidence back.
I am a massive fan of Cook, but he is not an 'in the face inspirational' leaders. He is lacking tactically and his batting is the worst ever, not even a 3 or 4 centuries is good enough for him now. I think that it is right that he returns back to county cricket for a season and correct his flaws. He is a great batsman when in form and at only 29 I would certainly see him getting back in the England set up.
Next captain .... hmmm, I dont really see Broad as a test match captain, Bell and other senior players are in the same boat as Cook, perhaps time for a slight risk and go for a junior player and invest in the future rebuild.
Boycott is right when he said that the bowlers should consult and request the captain over field placements which has not happened for a long time.
Cook is looking shakier than a jelly riding the cobble stage of the TDF
Anyway the TDF has finished for the day so just the cricket and the Open to keep me occupied now :D
I think we are doomed
The golf turned out to be more exciting, unless you are an Indian cricket supporter of course :D
Oh dear .....
Of course I never doubted for a minute that Cook would get it together with the bat
Captaincy seems a lot easier when you have a massive score on the board. Let's see how Cook manages his bowlers once it's India's turn.
Typical! I go out for a run and England win their first game in ten while I am out
I thought India would drag it out a bit longer but Moen Ali wouldn't let them. Lets hope its a corner turned for England now http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps0676084c.gif
Bang in there. Good batting, good bowling and very good captaincy.
Good 5 days in the office.
We're off to a flyer today.
India 70-6 its going well for England  Will we be able to win the match before the rain comes... oh and the end of the world as well :D
Wowzzers. I never saw this coming from England.
Nice one lads.
another disaster for England. they need to sort themselves out...:(
oh and I heard there was a Roses match on....any one know how it's going...;)
well england would sort things out but they dont exactly have the support they need no wonder from what they take on board the indians are ahead and with the help they have within from club and outsiders we hav,nt got any hope the bowlers are coming from all directions
And here's the table. Yorkshire with a great chance of securing the county championship, although next match is a crunch one against Nottinghamshire. And Lancashire, well relegation is a real possibility ;)

Looking good for the White Rose county:D
All over. Yorkshire are champions! ;)
