Am I been really thick here but is it a case of we have no choice but to go up Torside Clough. Following wildboar clough or Lawrence Edge is not allowed?

The above would certainly allow for the WBC route, so long as you get there via the Longenden Trail and the access path.
Recced UNG to Grindsbrook and back yesterday. The only river crossing you need to do is the usual one at the bottom of the Fairbrook, there's no need to cross the Ashop as there's a very good trod down to the bridge on the true left bank.
Thanks for all the effort and organisation so far Clair, looking forward to a safe race next weekend.
VOLUNTEERS PLEASE??????
Can anyone possibly offer some assistance with road crossings and also on Blackhill to direct runners along old Peninne Way route please??
Need a couple of extra bodies!!!
Thanks
Clair
The team may be able to put som one on Blackhill
I think Marvin offered to do the first one at Wessenden
I might be being daft here, but whereabouts is "skew bridge" exactly?Quote:
Please avoid skew bridge and the wildboar shoot as this land is excluded from CRoW and therefore not open access to the public.
No you're not being Daft, even I don't know, I've asked loads of people and they don't know!! No one has heard of it, it's certainly not marked on the map but......
Taking an educated guess we(me and YTD) believe it to be the bridge/tunnel that gives access to the shooting range OR another bridge that takes you under the TPT/LT further along. Either way no one would go that way so don't worry about it. Just go the way you planned, (Unless it goes through the Shoot under rollick stones);)
Like wise for me this year, I have emailed Claire to inform her that I am not running and asked for my entry to be given to someone on the waiting list - if you are on that list drop her an email.
Thanks to Claire for her hard work and commitment for the 2010 Tanky's. All have a good and safe race.
Cheers
