So this is the route then? Am i right in saying it's not the same route up as Shelf Moor? It looks a bit steady compared to that lungbuster further on a bit.

Nt sure if this is the route but it is definitely not the same climb as Shelf Moor race, that goes up the east side of little clough
that was the route last year.
yes that's the route, lst two times I have run it the top loop was anti clockwise. great descent but the road finish just takes the edge of it being a superb race
Cheers to Des and the team for another good event, that rough upper section was slowing a few on the way off, but i loved it- fast and technical. Is it tradition for a Des race to be started by him blowing the horn on his car??? Some great views of the valley on the climb. Cheers to the golf club for having us, there wasn't a collar in sight, but we got away with it. Cheers also to the teenager in black polyester slacks who showed me where the bogs were; he absolutely reeked of Hai Karate and i had a job on staying conscious as i followed him, but he seemed reyt enough.
Anyone doing this tomorrow? I the route still the one shown at the top of this page (from 2016)? Thanks.
This year's race was on Sun 1st March, and yes, Des does still peep his horn to start us off as he drives up to the track where we fork off left to head for the hills. This year there was an icy gale up high to keep things interesting. Vests blown sideways give an idea.
