Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Right! well I'm off for a 'run' right now then, along the canal and up onto Kildwick Moor and back. See ya'all later!!!
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Ha haaa! Back again, having thoroughly enjoyed myself for an hour or so. And so did mi hound. The moor bit is frequented by dog walkers so the snow is fairly well trod down now, which makes for a nice surface to run on. Hardly needed a torch due to snow reflecting ambient light.
Excellent.
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Was Ok in mi shorts tonight until I got to some deep stuff and then later fell over on an icy left hander. Enjoyed it though and no bugger else about!
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Anyone seriously going to go out tonight ?
Its b*****y freezing round here. I'll try a few hill repeats but think it'll be on road rather than fell.

Stolly, Emmy, Muddy, SS, and erm I can't remember who the last one was sorry, (plus me of course).
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
As long as it aint too windy, the cold doesn't bother me too much. I set if in three layers, gloves, scarf and hat, and gradually strip down a bit as I warm up. It all goes in a little bumbag as and when required.
I must admit, if I wasn't working tonight, a nice little trop around Kildwick moor would be tempting...

You were right, it was b****y freezing. I stuck to XC as the roads were just lethal. I'm not normally too bothered by the cold even in Winter
but I felt it tonight. My ear lobes were stinging with hot aches in the first 5 minutes.
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Apparently it's about -10 up here near Harrogate just now.

Indeed it was, too cold to be much fun last night. I didn't venture far or uphill but managed a reasonable 4 X 5 min interval session.
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Last KCAC headtorcher before Christmas and no need for the torches! 5ml / 700ft-ish. Lots of snow still above Kildwick
