Great race this thanks to Trig and all involved with this race well worth the effort, the steps at the end was a killer!:)
Great race, great atmosphere. Good to see so many of the villagers out in support, and the words from the vicar was a nice touch. 202 runners, not bad for a first bash. Hopefully will see it on the calendar again next yr.
Didn't see AndyA or Antisocial (too quick for me), but got changed in time to see DT & Stef finish the wrong way; taking the marshals by surprise by taking then from behind! :D
Well done all, and thanks to the 50 or so volunteers who made it possible.

DT! really.... a little more decorum when you are out and about please!
[QUOTE=Antisocial;400139]with the toughest hills at the end, whoever put that last one in needs their balls removing and putting in a bag. (QUOTE]
I agree. That was just cruel.
But a splendid race which I really enjoyed. As said by everyone else, thanks to Trig and the rest of the organisers.
Great day today. As previous post said, bit of everything. Thanks to organisers, all the marshalls and what appears to have been the entire village for laying everything on. A really friendly atmosphere. Tough at the end but great feeling that we were all in it and hating it together! Good stuff:)
You can delete that one of me - I look like I've just *hat myself!!! :w00t: which incidentally I thought i ws going to do at one point!! (too much information??).
What an ace race, really enjoyed it but bloody tough in parts. Great organisation & a really good having t & flapjacks at the start.
It all fell apart towards the end though, suffered with hamstring from about 4 miles to go, still it was plesant on the last climb up the steps
Fell foul of the delicious soup & cakes at the end though - guzzled too fast then went to pub, then had to leave as they made an unscheduled return. Only myself to blame, & they still tasted quite nice coming back up!
nice to see the vicar at the start, good touch that.
Looking forward to next year, maybe there'll be a few more stopping over on the field, although it was peaceful being the only one!
Well done all organisers, marshalls & helpers
what a great race,
really nice route, very demanding and no let up.
the drinks on course were welcomed.
the whole village seemed to be very supportive,
nice one,thank you very much
Trig should be really pleased that his hard work in putting on this race paid off. I think he's got an instant classic on his hands! A great route, ace marshals and brilliant atmosphere from parking to prize giving made for a memorable day
Not sure exactly where we went wrong at the end but it became clear when we got back to the start outside the pub after climbing up from the Blue Pig on the Calderdale way :o:o
Thank you to Trig & all his helpers. Fantastic turnout & a testament to all the effort put in prior to today. Quite a fast course with a variety of terrain although must admit did struggle all the way round due to a lower back problem. Did think at 1 point - should I retire but then I thought stop being a wuss & tried to ignore the discomfort. Good to see a healthy turnout of forumites - old & new faces.
