Well done to all who survived the course.
Amazing. That's Janet McIver with records for Duddon, Ennerdale and Wasdale (equal with Jackie Lee) so far this year! I wonder if the Borrowdale record will go next?
Just made it to Gable within the old cut-off time so I as really pleased:)
Runner 103 what happened to you? Did you finish?
Thanks to Lucy from keswick for keeping me company into the finish!
Well done everyone, glad the weather was good. Really sorry to have had to pull out but have already pencilled it in for next year.
I was anxious about doing this but that wouldn't have stopped me, so more pain to look forward to in the future (as Max Moseley said, though I can't translate it into German).

Well done everyone who ran and many thanks to all involved. Perfect conditions I thought; quite cool up top and completely clear.
I could have been hallucinating but while hobbling down the last descent a guy using walking poles came running down past me, not sure if he was in the race but he was doing well. It didn't look like the poles were helping much though.
Did I hear correctly at the start? That the Great Gable checkpoint time was extended by 15 mins?
Does anyone know how many runners started?
well my legs are still a tad sore. Finishing with a 3000' descent is mind (and leg ) blowing, but what a fabulous route. I think it's as good as Peris for grandeur, mountain scenery and constantly interesting running, and the best race in England.
Well done to all the forumites and lurkers who did it, and commiserations to those who had to pull out. Next year eh?
Haven't got a number for Borrowdale, but I think I'll go up for the party anyway, and the abuse opportunities on top of Dale Head. Talking of which, thanks for the support on the way round, particularly the Clayton non-runners, who'd wussed out :D
Well done sir Pudgy......you've done the ponies proud......
