Enjoyed that, quite a tough short race :closed:
Every race should have clowns as marshals. (I don't mean they were no good at marshaling!)
:D Thanks to everybody who made the race today such a good one; especially Trig for co-ordinating the massive team of marshalls, flaggers, time-keepers, clowns, post race refreshers. It was a pretty tough race - the mud and water making it even more of a test I'd say. Good fun all round though. Same place this time next year everyone? :D
Phew what a day! Only just got back to the house after the music fest - will do my best get some results on web tomorrow (our webmiester is on his way back from Wasdale) Really enjoyed the whole experience - seeing 93 runners on the start line made it all worth while. Think my race time may have been effected by the heavy burden of responsibilty (thats my excuse anyway!) or more likely still being in the pub at 1am on Friday.

RESULTS....just while we get them on the website
Congratulations to Sean Carey (Tod) and Katie Walshaw (Holmfirth) - race winners and holders of the course records.
Well done Tod Harriers taking local mens team honours, and Calder Valley on their ladies team victory
Annie Holmes (Kanga??) won a bottle of beer for 1st Fell Pony
Sam Swindles was first Heptonstall resident (15th - and his first ever fell race - stunning)
(next year look out for a young lad call Max who ran as a "foward sweeper" in 52min!)
Excellent and tough race. I'll try it when I'm match fit next year ;) Great atmosphere at the festival afterwards as well :D
Good turn out from Baku hash house harriers! Did nt get many other teams from Azerbaijaan this year -maybe they can put Heptonstall in their club champs next year.
Well done to Stephen Heath for making the long and expensive journey - Heptonstall Hurriers like the Hash House Harriers - perhaps we can twin with you guys in Baku - looking forward to running a race there soon......
Nice to see runners making journeys from Cantebury and Melton Mowbury too - it certainly felt like a well attended first running hope everyone might consider joining us next year....
Results are now up - I'll put all the winners and stuff up when I have a bit more time
