Looks like it might be a bit damp. The top is quite rocky and I wouldn't fancy flats. Sticky rubber Inov-8 270/285/295/330 would be my choice

It' slippy due to the hill being limestone. Good grip on rock definately needed for this race. It's a good one. Enjoy.
Out for a drive in the Dales & passed thru Ingleton just in time to give Mapper some, er, encouragement as he joined the road for the dash to the finish! ;)
I was in Bernie's cave shop and cafe when the start of the race trundled past. Recognised Rachel (aka shaunandrachel) in the pack but nobody else. I was gasping for a coke after 24 miler in the pissing rain myself so wasn't properly concentrating :). The weather turned out not too bad for the gala after about 2 o'clock I think.
It was warm when the sun came out Stolly. Claggy on top, hot on the track on the way up! Great race.
The race was won easily by Lloyd T with Lizzie Adams taking the Ladies honours, Top race great warm up for Snowdon next week
