Ouch!
AG -best wishes for a full recovery. There were many tumbling yesterday.
This is a reminder is it not to those who turn out almost naked to have enough with them to stay warm when injured?
Not directed at you AG, but you cannot expect people to hand over their warm clothing then run on for another 20/40 minutes. The first 'A' long I did, I had the piss taken for having a largish rucksack (by a marshall), but my attitude is that you look after yourself and stay warm if it goes pear shaped.
Ok my friend, your point is taken.:)
As a spectator only on Saturday at the Shepherds Rest (pint in hand of course) i heard very quickly of the the 'knee injury' at the pike. I also watched some chap in a red cag (organiser??) in the pub inform someone else by phone that mountain rescue were on their way through hebden bridge, ambulance was there as well and the marshals were with the unfortunate runner.
It all appeared quite in hand and i duly ordered another pint.
Many thanks to all who took part in and organised the race.
What a beautiful sport.
Ive submitted my report to all news agencys....there wasnt much interest.:D
The speed i've seen you descend Baz, the pub was the best place for you yesterday! How noble of you to attend and sample the atmosphere/ales (being injured)- I gave up having failed to get near enough to the bar to see what the beer was.
Good luck with the comeback from injury.
;):D i like it.... i was a few minutes slower.
