a bit of track and roady section, but a good climb, and a superb descent. Over all too quickly.

I'm pretty new to fell running (only about 1 year in) and only a young lad too, so go easy on my reports/reviews, haha!

Some won't be fell races but I'm hoping to make sure the majority are...The Dark Un, Bleasdale & Windy Hill are all featured lately
Thanks all :)
Cal - there's a bit too much about Asics for me
Yeah, I had to put a bit in about them as they've sorted out my road gear for me. After next weekend they won't be getting a mention anymore, haha
Nice one Cal! Keep em coming.
Kit, Gear, stuff 'shiny things'. http://sbrtrfr.blogspot.co.uk/2015/0...-want-one.html
That is how it should be, it is your blog. I like the Kenny Roberts Yamaha, black and Yellow ;)Quote:
Just trying to "talk out loud" as such, with how I felt about my own run, the course and obviously my opinion, which I know everyone won't agree with...but that's the beauty of it.
Taken a while, but here we are:

My first Lakes fell race - 40th Kentmere Horseshoe
http://calferguson.blogspot.co.uk/20...19th-july.html
good read that... can relate to how you feel you have progressed so much since the start of the year... in a similar position myself, albeit much less experienced.... but encouraged by results so far, can't wait til next year to run a few races for a second time, and hopefully see some real improvement...
incidentally that's my fan club (mum and dad) just over your right shoulder in your 'team photo'.... I am just out of shot, on the floor... the guy in the Dark Peak vest is none other than Corniceman on the forum...
Thanks mate, glad people enjoy the read. It's a great sport for the variation of runners, obviously I'm new to it (about 7 months running seriously but have known about the sport all my life) and I'll race people who've been in the game for a good 40+ years, maybe longer. Can't beat it!
See you on the fells old film cameras in hands.

Not fell running (though he does fell run) this chap is attempting a Lands End to John O'Groats barefoot with some sandal wear when appropriate.
