Dee Jay it was a pleasure to meet you at ClayBank, you could have had more cake, and a cuppa if you hadn't to rush off. Its seems Him off the tele(the fludge) and I went to quickly and missed our unexpected prizes. I have been informed that the DFR chap Nee Bother didn't manage to get his hands on our whiskey. As for your photo show them ours, we could come to your office xmas party only if plenty of tea and cake supplied plus crumpet. See you soon, will you be doing Guisboro woods race?
Only 1 filly yesterday at Dave Staff - where were all you Stallions??
Not to worry I flew the pony flag with pride and galloped round - well okay maybe a canter really with a lot of trotting but got a bottle of wine for my troubles:D :D :D
Enigmatic ponies thats all, Him off the tele I suppose is sort of a celeb.
Well done Master for your efficient coverage on the Fell Pony website.
The stable is growing, another member to join from the North east, he made his mind up at Clay Bank at the sight of 3 ponies trotting gracefully, good job he did not see H.O.T.T. (fludge)fall flat on all fours. D J might have a mate converted aswell. Hay up Merry legs:)
master, will us fell ponies be eligible for relays?
Depends which ones you mean Fleeter....i dont see why not in the case of Calderdale, PBR etc and Fellmonster has been in touch with FRA stats about team eligibility so will get him find out where we stand for the FRA relays.
I know the Crumblies would be very keen to do Calderdale and Mary Townley next year so would be great to get a team together.
Do you fancy it?
Too right, would be great to have ponies team, count me in :D
Hi All,
have tried to keep away, this is so shit! not being able to run is the worst thing ever, my first weekend with out anything for 8 weeks i feel a fraud coming on here!
are there any pogo races i can have a go at or eating and drinking competitions?
I am away for a few days licking my wounds and all hell has broken loose, emmzi looks a real state with her new pic the master has got competition for a realy what ever that is??
the north east ponies seem to be taking over the world what is going on
 :)
Page 46 of the summer issue of the Fellrunner gives the current eligibility requirements for the "British Relays" as:
"The relay is open to Clubs affiliated to UK Athletics or one of its constiuent area Associations".
In England this means a club is required to affiliate to England Athletics which for 2007 cost £50.
i'm sure we could all chip in master, what that would only be a pound each :p
Just a thought, seeing as how we are all individual members of the FRA and therefore presumably elegible, can we not enter as team Fell Pony rather than as a club?? Failing that as Fleeter says a pound a piece isn't much and still cheaper than all the other clubs. ;)
Cheers Deejay, I'm sold on the idea, pretty new to fell running, coming from a background of cycling. Gained entry to the 3 peaks cyclocross this year so started running some hills and did a couple of fell races and really enjoyed them. Good set of people i've met, not as aloof as some cyclists. Ran/walked the 3 peaks in september in 6.5 hours with my mate and his 12 year old lad. Felt i could of done it quicker, we had to slow up a bit for the lad, he did good though for 12 years old. Probably could have done it in 6 hours 29mins without him;)
