There was a dusting near Cockermouth today at the Blake Fell race, loads of dogs there too Ernie would have loved it. I had to say a stern Noooo to a houndy looking dog with his eyes on the runners' custard creams!

No fresh snow in the north pennines overnight, a wee dusting on Friday, but plenty of hard, very run-able, snow banks and the peat is frozen solid - lovely.
1.5 inches here this morning. I may get to try out my snow socks (for the car) in anger after all. It's only doing it because I stated it was the end of the snow on my blog last night.
 it needs to go. Now
My feet have been cold since October. :(
Thought the rain looked thick. Its now turned to snow!
Sleeting in London :(
Blue Peter garden looks well miserable and brown and muddy
Not going out there, it's cold and wet! (who's Petra?)
This is from Wikipedia, so is guarranteed to be incorrect:
Petra, a mixed breed, was the first Blue Peter dog (The 'original' Petra died after making one appearance and was replaced by a look-alike, this was kept secret until many years after the substitute's death). Reports that the original Petra was killed by the rogue elephant have yet to be denied.
Snowing here, getting heavier.
Snow??
<looks out of the window>
"Oh, Bugger!! Here we go again..."
Out foir a run, I guess :D
I can't believe you didn't know who Petra was:rolleyes::D Although I guess it happened many years before you were even born....

Snowing Wakefield / Leeds area around 4.30 but nothing here on edge of the Dales. I was amazed how hard the ground was on the Pennine Way above Lothersdale last night
Snowing in Nottingham earlier apparently - but it's stopped now. Hope it stays stopped :(
Supposed to have a lashing of the white stuff here tomorrow.
Hopefully just a sprinkling and not Tony Montana's office desk like last time. :)
Is it nearly Spring yet? :(
I want flowers and warm-ish sunny days.
Big juicy flakes here in Knutsford. It's probably a foot deep at home by now. I may yet get to try out my new car socks - a friend of mine said they'd trashed theirs within three uses.
Snowing heavily here now.
It's been lashing it down in Stockport for most of the afternoon. The ground's all white again. This lot won't hang around for long. Time to venture out in it for the run home. :D
Snow here too. Anyone been in Edale or up Kinder plateau these last two days. As it been snowing up there and made the skyline course tricky again or by luck as it missed it.
Really coming down in Barnoldswick, run up the settle hills with the head touch should be fun dont know how much snow they have atm
Started snowing about 4pm here. We have a good covering now and its still snowing. :(
Started here about 3pm, still snowing now. Hope it's stopped in the morning, cycling to work.
Snow up round Chew Valley
Plenty of snow round my way (west sheffield) now, think tomorrows training will be running to/from work as I don't fancy getting stuck there if the snow continues....

So odds on thats coming across the Atlantic!!
If thas thinkin' o'trainin' fo' th'Etape this next week or two then don't go over the Old Coal Road at Garsdale Head...not unless you don't mind pushin' the bike for a mile or two! The snow ploughs never made it o'er yon.
Couple of random leftover bits and bats on top of Hardraw Pass this aft.
Hurry up spring :(
