I think I stick to ponies, thanks... :D
For some reason, I don't need glue to stay on, riding a pony... even if it is a wild stallion that rears and bucks :D
Experience, yes... :) but not recently :(
Well, on that note, I am off to bed... alone... Night ponies! xx
My quads have stopped screaming at me :)
Night Merry! xx
Glad to hear it, or not, (the screaming) that is..............

Hi Pat
Is it this weekend the (the OCT)? Gerry hadn't mentioned she was doing it.
Enjoy it AK. I'm off up to Keswick to support Flatlander with his BG... Weather looks dodgy, but it's the Lakes innit?:)
Should be an eye opener. You'll have to report back on the OCT... looks a good 'un.
Well that was an education!!!
Long story, but the clag on top of Skiddaw was so thick I couldn't even see me feet!!! Flatlander has a bit of pace about him,, and given that we only had one map between us; they were comfortably quicker than us and the clag was so thick, me and Dave let them press on and fell back down to Keswick with the agreement that we'd meet 'em at Threlkeld. He flew up Clough Head like he was nipping up the stairs and after that we hardly saw him.
Anyhow, before this becomes like reading the paper, at Grisedale Tarn we saw some folk battling the elements on the OCT. How did RPB get on? Must have been a reet hard day for them!
By this time the wind and driving rain were pretty impressive ('Horrible' is the polite word) and the swearing count was picking up well.
Now, there were a 10, yes TEN, MoD / ex-military types starting at 11pm and going for the full round. Does anyone know if they finished. They were all pleasant fellas and their support ran Dave and me from Dunmail Raise back to Threlkeld... over and above the call of duty if you ask me, and well appreciated.
Come on RPB, we want some sort of report... or at least an assurance you've survived it!
Aye, c'mon RPB, give the life support machine a break and tell us how ya went on:D
It's that time of year when it is essential to take care in the summer sun.....please check out this link for essential advice if planning a day out.....

If the rest of the course is anything like those pics I wish I'd gone. I sussed out travel directions etc, but then couldn't be arsed...
Hey up ML, Bg relay details being formulated (unorganised ) as we speak!!!Been a bit busy like,,,,,,,,,,
Do you fancy a 6.30pm start anyone.
If any one else wants to join in, please pm me.........
Just done Old county tops , what a brilliant day out on fells, just a shame me and Dalo did not have the legs, plus we lost some valuable time on our reccied route (not enough reccying) we ended up staring over a few dodgy buttresses..by the time we got to Great Moss all our advantage had gone big style,,,,,,,, we could still laugh about it though......next year we wil perfect it:confused::confused: 10hrs 30mins by the way
