2 miles warm up, 12x2 mins hills with jog rec,2 miles warm down,10 in total.....that was hard
5 miles last night.
half an hour on the turbo tonight.:)
A headtorch run up Hameldon but cut it short as the mist/fog made seeing very difficult, even with the torch held down low. Even lost a path across the moor I use on a regular basis.
6.65 mile incl 8x3 reps along Otterspool Promenade part of our club training night.
5 mile off road run to work, first run in Innov8 Roclite 315's, they are crap on wet rock, solution to this, run through all the mud avoiding the wet rock and have a dip in river at work, no pork pies this time though:D
I tried out my new road pumps or where I come from traineeees - tonight, 11 miles of tarmac with the incentive of forgetting to lock the front door to make me run home quicker!!!
Is there some big race on or something soon, my usual desolate dual carriageway plod was practically chocker block?!!
I ran with Skipton AC last night for maybe the first time in a year - jesus there's loads of them now with three different route choices with early bird small jogging routes for newbies. There could have been 40 or 50 runners all told...... and all of them (apart from me) seemed to be decked out in hi viz yellow
A fantastic run though with me effectively ending up doing a 7.5 mile full on race against one of the other guys... he led for a couple of miles, I left him for dead for 4 after that but then he bloody well caught me a mile from the end and finished comfortably ahead
My first road run in maybe 6 months!
nice fast 6.1 miler yesterday morning, then 3 miles last night. Having a break today, then a good un tomorrow a.m
1 Hour over and round Hambeldon. Very rough and muddy in the main. Came across around 30 horses and riders over the moor, never seen that many out over there. Kepy my distance though, funny things horses. The few extra degrees makes a big difference to the terrain and clothing required. back to shorts and short sleeve base layer now.
I know. I've just been out all layered up; out of habit from the last couple of weeks, and within the first mile I'd stripped down to me base layers.
Just shy of 5mi round the roads at home. Quite hilly. Feeling a bit of gyp from me knee coming downhill. As a result cut my session at the playpark to just the pull ups: 6/6/6/7. Didn't want to add to my knee's grief by doing a load of burpees.:(
At last, first proper run in three and a half weeks, this lurgy seems to be giving up and antibiotics seem to have done the trick.....1:09:57hr up over Wimberry to Alphin, nice and steady, keeping HR below 70Max HRR (HR kept creeping up there though!!!!)...felt good and ease my way back into it so as not to give the lurgy the chance to regroup :) Snow gone now Wimberry way...

A trip round the Kinder Killer. really suffered this morning but seem to get stronger as the day went on ran more of it than last time. may be easier with no bracken. It started with clag and finished in clag!
According to Forerunner 24.5 miles? (I thought it was further) 7,000ft+
just over 7 hours a plum route and well worth it for any one with BG aspirations.
I wasn't suppose to do any exercise today, suppose to be having a day off, so i did 2 mile power walk, which isn't alot i know, but i couldn't get in the car, i had to walk it, so i did it has fast as i could.
I got running with Andy tomorrow, aswell as the 4 mile walk.
6 brisk off-road miles with 750 Ascent today
long(er) run tomorrow and then straight on to turbo..or..long bike ride
Had a drive up to Austwick and then a very pleasent circular clockwise run up Ingleborough. Before the top of Long lane I dropped down into Trow Gill and took that path to the stile instead of taking the moor around the top of the gill. Bit of a mud fest on the lower slopes, not suited to my choice of footwear on the day. Lots of mist/fog so no views to be had, still a little snow left up by the Swine Tail. Again, lot's of mud on the drop off on the main 3p path caused 2 falls and the mud continued pretty much for the rest of my time on this path which made me think again about which footwear will be best for the race. Instead of going down to Sulber Nick, I went right just pass the shooting hut at Nick Pot which turned from thick mud into a firm grassy track all the way down to Crummack, much better route choice. From Crummack it was just a skip through the fields to the East of the road back to Austwick. Pity about the views. 1:40 ish, 10.5 miles ish.
