Where ya been racing Wheeze?
Llanthony Fell Race. Sixth of our lovely short, sharp South Wales Winter League races. Perfect day...clear blue skies, biting cold wind, tacky underfoot (some slippy bits). New course forced by access changes resulted in the instant creation of a Classic with a lung busting dap up steep runnable fields, then a short traverse to reach a direct assault up to the ridge. This was AS STEEP AS THE BLORENGE:eek:  . Then a nice jog along the ridge-top to reach the cairn at the junction with Offas Dyke before a return back via the quarries and into the fields for the flat-out swoop to the Abbey. What a fab race! I reckon I came somewhere around 10-12th but the day was made by:
1. Seeing Ffrwd Parry at the summit cairn.
2. THE RETURN OF UNCLE LES!!!!!!!!!!!!
All told, a perfect way to spend a spring saturday afternoon.:)
Where o where has Saints Lad gone:confused:
