Agreed, that bit off Coniston is unpleasant, but almost as bad is the final descent. A lot of the route is gorgeous, of course.

That's the best bit. A bit of excitement and it takes the mind off the long draggy slopes.
Really enjoyed it yesterday. Everyone so friendly and welcoming.

I agree, it was a brilliant day, topped off by Joss handing out the prizes and the weather being as fine as it was (despite a bit of clag early on). I'll be back next year. This really deserves to become a big Lakes race.
