Crumbs, that's early..... :(
Still not sure, might well stick to the short route so I get an extra hour or two in bed! ;)
70 entered so far in all catagories inc a number running long route;)

Ah, the people I'm giving a lift probably won't be too happy arriving for an 8 o'clock start for me to do the long 'un whilst they hang aroud for the short. Might reconsider and do the 15 then I could do Hope Moors and Tors too

I'm fortunate as I live just over a mile away from the start. Mind you, that probably means I'll have to walk there....and back! Hope it's not raining....:o
Re: Grin 'n' Bear it 2009
I'm finding above posts a bit confusing. Can someone please confirm I can run 23ml route starting at 10am after EOD for 10quid? :) Also does the 23mile route start at Crow Edge Community Centre 180 052 / postcode S36 4TB? Oh, will there be Rescue Ale for sale too? ;)

Yes to the Rescue Ale:D. Start is from Crow Edge CC but the long starts at 8.00am:eek: only the race starts at 10.00 from Langsett. (bus provided) all finish near or at CE CC race finishes before road to avoid running over it.:D
Hope this helps DT
Re: Grin 'n' Bear it 2009
Ian,
a bit of advice please, as i've now left it a bit late to pre-enter I will be entering on the day for the short route so......What time does the bus leave ? I want to allow plenty of time to register and get a good seat on the bus...back seat!!!
Will EOD cause any problems with food, will I still get some or should I bring a potted meat sandwhich to chew on while everyone else tucks into something hot and wonderful... can I let anyone know, would that be helpful.
Cheers
Alfred

Short walk or Race?
The walk is a 8.00am start the race is 10.00am, try and be registered by 9.15 if possible. buses are working a shuttle service and it's only 10 minutes away but I think the hope:rolleyes: is to have the last bus leave c 9.30.
We've got about 140 entries so far (for all courses) and expect about 80 on the day.
Food won't be an issue but Ale might be? Hoping to have around 20 cases ready for donations;)
