Re: Bunny Runs 2009
Belatedly, I thought I'd post my thanks for a cracking race. My first race for about 15 years and a real eye-opener. I was anticpating a nice easy short race with great views but far from it. I held back at the start because I naively thought most had gone off too fast. Not a moment to relax with lots of little scroats(apologies -highly fit junior runners) always trying to overtake uphill or downhill. I've never had to concentrate so hard on a race. I hadn't a clue as to when the finish was coming up. I couldn't even relax then because somebody was pushing me all the way to the line. When I turned round to shake hands and say 'Cheers, mate' I was greeted by another 5 ft highly fit junior runner. Great craic in the pub afterwards. For the next 4 days I was totally drained and am only now back into training at the same level as before. I'll be back. Thanks a lot, Bunny Master!

Re: Bunny Runs 2009
Yes, they are pretty intense  The races are quite something as well :D
When they were run from The Guide Inn above Keighley there used to be a bus load of army cadets turn up and race who were equally competitive though not all were up to the challenge! Great fun.

Re: Bunny Runs 2010
I considered venturing over to run this, but the travelling-time to get there (with a suitable park-up/sign-in/warm-up time prior to the start) seemed a bit silly:confused:
Getting along the M62 to Gildersome, then queuing into, & through, Bradford, before heading out to Haworth would possibly have taken anywhere between an hour & hour-and-a-half, at 'rush-hour'??
(heading there via Halifax, as an alternative, would have been equally time-consuming)
(it wasn't that much of an issue when I went over for the 'Stanbury Splash', with that being on a Sunday)
So, sorry, as much as I'd have liked to venture over, logistically it's awkward

Re: Bunny Runs 2010
Enjoyed last nights event more than usual, (I normally find them far to fast and cheerful) only got passed by about 40 12 year old kids. Felt I ran ok for a short race and then found out I was 10 seconds slower than previous races where I felt awful, ho hum.
It was nice to see all the young people going for it big time though.
