On conditions of entry it states that Competitors must be members of a bona fide Athletic Club - does the FRA count?

Or will I actually need to join a Club - all of the clubs close to me are geared towards road runners and I really don't want to join!!

Also, do the 3 Category A races have to be within the last year?

Yes you can. I entered originally under the FRA last year, but got it amended nearer the race date when I joined a club.

Yeah there are loads of FRA runners in this. I'm fairly sure they just want proof of fell running experience, so I'm sure that if some of the A races are more than a year old you'll be ok.

Thanks for the advice, only 1 hurdle left, which may be the hardest, - persuading my wife that this is a good idea!!

I also notice that the entry list states some entrants club as fra.

Is this the fell runners association and if so presumably this counts as a bona fide athletic club?

I know it is very early for to be talking about this but i'm keen to do it and just wanted to understand the entry requirements

It mentions needing to have done three A races - are these of any distances and does it have to be in this year?

Anyone know what classification Kinder Trog is?

If its 3 A races Kinders classed as a BL

I don't recall any requirement of them being in the same year and they can be of any distance. So pretty easy to get three A's in before the end of the year.

It's a long thread but all has been answered at some point over the last couple of years. The link starts it from page 51 where Antisocial gets a reply from the organisers about the same question novice asked.

By the 28th Feb, according to the website http://www.bennevisrace.co.uk/

Would be nice to know a bit sooner to sort out accommodation and so on, but the website strongly discourages individual enquiries, and I can understand why.

Cheques are undated, implying they might not be cashed for some time, but that may be to simplify waiting list payments. Has anyone had their cheque cashed yet?
