Nice to see Richpips (well done mate) and Antisocial today.
I had a good marshalling point, the end of the track just below Penyghent.
Saw quite a few battered bikes, wheel knackered, another with rear mech firked, and another with no chain...... and that guy went all the way up and down without chain, hats off, hope you had a good finish.
Did have one walker continually asking me how we got permission to put on such an event ;-(
Thinking about it, not sure I'd have liked to have been a walker today, riders attacking you from all angles, some like billyo heh heh!
Anyway, well done to all, next year is my marshall/ride alternate year (fitness permitting) of taking part, bring it on......
Those falls you saw, it could've been the same bloke...me! I took many falls, used my face as a brake, speared my calf with my pedal, sprained my left wrist & 3 fingers - they look like sausages, don't know when I'll get my wedding ring off again - , but by far my most painful is bruised ribs. Initially thought I'd never do it again, but I'm already making plans to better my poor display yesterday. In 2012 my dance card is full, but 2013.......?Quote:
