right good to everyone
see you all there
I've just been to the coke machine downstairs here at work and have walked back with an ice cold can of pop in each hand.
Just getting the old hands suitably in the groove and 'chilled' up for tomorrow night
Ideally I need to sit here at my desk with my feet in a bucket of ice cold water too, to get the all round HPM effect....
Although I don't suffer from cold hands, for the first time I will be using Neoprene 3mm socks and gloves (wetsuit stuff) and will report on their effectiveness after the race. They should be useful if the snow is soft and we go on hands and knees in the drifts.

I'm alternating between mild/moderate terror and extreme excitement :D should be a good night, or at least one to remember!

And a snorkel.
All the best to you all for tomorrow x

weather
With the chance of sleet and hill fog and cold cold winds over night, cherry picking all the worst bits from these:
Metcheck forecast for Kinder Low
Met Office forecast for the Peak District
Any other weather forecasts that might shine a more positive light on things?
I suppose it doesnt really matter what the weather forecast says, as they are invariably wrong, and you always have to prepare for the worst? ;)
*Stretches & yawns*
Just woke up, lazy breakfast in bed. Might snooze for an hour or so listening to R4 for a bit.
Today will be a great day: I can feel it in the air!:)
Good luck everyone, SS, Emmi, Skippy etc
Chinese and a night out in Manchester followed by a warm bes at about 3am or a 42 mile trek through bog, bracken and bushes...i know what id choose ;)
He has, we just didn't get our admin sorted out. He'll be scribbling all over the forms in the village hall.
IF might turn up to see us all off. Whether he brings his kit for a last minute stand in is another matter!
Both MWIS and BBC forecasts looking optimistic.
Good luck to all, see you at Edale tonight...
STEVERS

Good luck everyone. I won't be in Edale this year as I'll be in a warm bed, but I will think of you at 10pm tonight.
Totally bonkers the lot of you but you've all got my respect!
Best of luck everyone, I'm soooo jealous! Can't wait to hear all about it tomorrow or will you all just go straight to bed?
Echoed sentiments, good luck to all.
Have a great one.
I thought the wheels were only supposed to fall off during the race? Just got back from shopping to a very loud hissing noise. One punctured tyre.
Luckily, Stolly to the rescue!:)
