Thanks Yannis....
Was wondering how the day had gone....
Well done DazH & the KFR&PFR'ers...:)
Some great results there!!!
Guess the weather was kind this year?
Robbie Simpson, 1st on Snowdon, 2nd on the Ben , not bad for an 18-year-old !
Good effort from IanR for 9th .

Now that hurt yesterday, especially the last couple of mile.
I thought I was fit but I obviously wasn't 'BEN' Fit eh.
I said never again as I collapsed over the finish line and 10 mins later I was already plotting another attempt... tis crazzzeeee eh!!!
A wonderful weekend in the hills.. although alittle too hot for me and way too dry for my flat feet.
Hopefully be back next year!!
Thanks to Fort William.
Was good to see DazH & Stan flying down the scree path, later followed by Emmi, great runs by all, I take my hat off to all three for great performances.
Well this was my first attempt and I was mainly worried about the cut-offs (which didn't seem to have been applied judging by the number of people I passed still ascending when I was descending). Anyway, I managed the first in 58 mins and the top in 1:58 then crossing the finish line in 3:07. The run in on tarmac is an abolute killer!
Thanks to all organisers and marshalls.
Plenty of people with cameras on route, anybody know if there are any photos uploaded yet?
Pea!
Crikey that was something else.
A few photo's mainly of NFR runners, here:

Looking good there, Deejay!
I've never done The Ben, very envious (from a safe distance). Well done.
A great race as usual and nice conditions, dry underfoot which meant I could descend rapid on the rocks. I died a bit on the grassy bank and couldn't stay with iain r. Literally fell into the burn on the way down and cut my leg but apart from that I pushed onto the finish and the welcome sight of the gate as you enter the field. Nice to see loads of forumites and good friends. 1 second away from a sub 1 .50 but the Ben never gives you an easy run. My favourite race . Only an 800 mile round journey but I don't care. Tired now but will take badger for his run tomorrow. Can't wait till next year.
Really enjoyed my first Ben. Recognised a few formiters and bloggers, with great looks of concentration, as they hurled down the scree slopes in a shower of stones. The grassy slope has destroyed my quads. I was all over the place after that. I think I would consider going round next time, even if it takes a bit longer, at least there would be more left in the legs for the rest of the descent and the road.
Well done to everyone.
well done all, better weather than last year but i was ten minutes slower.
i suffered horribly on descent , loved the scree ,bum slid on the steep grassy bits, bonked on the stone path. died afterwards ...still looking forward to next year when i will be Ben fit.
Is the key to the Categories that appear on the results published anywhere? Have searched the race web site & can't find it there but that could be incompetence on my part.
Hey Phil, we both suffered suprises this year eh, I was also slower than last year and bonked shortly after I saw you on the path. :o Mission for next september: get Ben fit and then suffer even more on race day.
Today, I'm aching more than last year but still buzzing from the race. Well done big Phil.
Thanks Mark, I didn't buy one ]-:
Thanks Marvin [-:
Funny how I always consider upping my training level AFTER races?
Daz H - Im getting down in my knees and bowing to you. Take your hat off son....absolutely amazing result daz, REEEEEEEEEEEEEEESPECT!
It's a unique race, really gets under your skin. I'll keep doing it. Few other races have over 4000ft of continual ascent and descent.
Had a solid run, good climb but just could not descent on the rocks, so eased back and could then kick in on the more runnable sections. Hit the road 14th, but could see 10th and knew that I'd get very few chances of a top 10 at the Ben and managed to kick in and tick them all off.
Still a few minutes down on my PB, but happy enough, reckon the lack of fell racing this year has affected my descending though. Had a good race with a few I knew around me, so made it an exciting race, thought Daz had me when he passed me with ease on the screes, but managed to pick my pace up and follow him on to the grass.
Wife got second, managed to talk her into racing about 30 minutes before hand, because she felt awful, so she was happy with the second, think she's been 4th for the last two years.
You seemed to be doing well when you flew past me. As was Skippy who I managed to introduce myself to before the race. I bet she's glad she ran now ;-)
Are you guys doing the Peris on Saturday ? I think me and me mate are going to give it a go. I recced the route a few times now.
Indeed it does [-:
