Super run in the Wolds 9.5 miles 1250 ft ascent. Wild and free. Some short hard climbs and one very long grind. Perfect running country.

Arms very sore. Was looking ripped immediately afterwards. However, by the time I got into me jammies, my muscles had all relaxed and I was back to normal!:(
4m road to work, 5m off road home, stunning weather, ran in T-Shirt and shorts:eek:
15 miles 2800ft
Set off from langsett, hit the clag quite quickly up cutgate, turned left and reversed HPM until iI could run down Abbey Brook. Back up along the reservoirs which were in full and overflowing (very impressive) over took a NT landrover heading up the track!! a quick hill rep up Long Edge before dropping back Cranberry Clough and straight up otherside to Bull Rock spring and then outer edge befor a direct route back home.
Finished in Sunshine.
I don't think I ran as hard as you in the race though Iain, I did a few miles Sunday to loosen up and then swam 50 lengths yesterday.
I was feeling weary near the end but not stiff. Will try get a short run in Weds and then rest for the Hobble. I am expecting stiff legs after this though:o:D

Sat- about 9miles and 3000ft of climbing over bowland fells-last climb was on less visited east side of parlick- just south of the col, one of the steepish climbs in bowland. First hour seemed to sweated out the remains of slight virus I had and then seemed to felt stronger on each climb I did. Also just finished the run as weather turned nasty.
Last night 7.5 miles over great hill. Fantastic early evening for running. Coming over Brinscall Moor had a view of Darwen Tower with a large brilliant moon directly behind-possible the largest I have seen the moon looked:D
Now plenty of rest till wurthering hike on saturday.
Tonight:
140 press ups
84 sit ups
34.5 pull ups
Bit over an hour with club this evening off-road with headtorches. First half felt shocking; second half ran well (for me). That's it now until the Hobble on Saturday :)
45mins Fartlek session. Broadstone Trig - Alderman - Pots n' Pans - Greenfield. Nice and mild out there....
1 hour fartlek round Rainow and along Kerridge Ridge
About 1200ft of climb over two hill reps, going down from home into Hepworth and back. Blowy out and fun lolloping across muddy fields. :)
Only time for a 3 miler on the roads tonight.

5 mile recovery run, walked the ups, ran the flat and down, speed burst in the middle, probably about 20min/mile pace:D
My training partner decided he'd rather play out with his mates, just as well watching him run round like a madman with em, he'd have beasted me.
Nice dip in the river at the end, legs feel great now:cool:
7.3 mile along the Wirral promenade today including a 5k race.
Yesterday first thing, 4 hill reps (total 2500 ft) up to Ashway from the Dovestones res. Bloomin' hard work that at 8am. :( Oh, and bumped into Manhar who I hadn't seen since Mickleden. :p
Ta for the offer Ian, but I grab a run as and when I can get time off work! "Quickies" are OK, but anything longer is tricky... Will catch up with you on a 'warts run soon though. :)
5.70 mile on roads, trail and hills tonight.
