Am going with daughter to a social club in Haworth that her friends parents run, I really don't want to - both as I still have the vestiges of this virus which keep reoccurring (going to have to bin ALS this morning after I managed to scrounge a half day off) and I don't do small talk etc. Still I will be happy being miserable, Mandy my partner is doing a waking night shift tonight - lucky cow.Quote:

Out with a huge number of Glossopdale on Kinder last night. Up Sandy Heys and down Red Brook, and very atmospheric. Saw equally huge number of what were presumably Pennine above us going past Kinder reservoir and we managed a few feeble jeers. Disappointed not to see them again - they were obviously scared of us!

Glossopdale, was that you down in the bottom of Williams Clough as we were heading up it on the higher path? We almost came down to see you all but thought you were the other half of our mob and we'd only left them 20 minutes before so didn't feel the need to reunite ourselves so soon in the evening. As it was we didn't get back down to the Royal until after 10 pm and had scant time to rehydrate after such a long run in the snow

We saw a couple of you start to head down - you were on the upper path and we were on the lower, not far above the dam wall. We hung around regrouping at the bottom of Williams Clough too. You obviously had a longer run than us. By the way, Lins was with us. Her first full club run after her injury.

6 Bowland Bats had a cracker on Thursday evening. From Helwith Bridge Inn, up Long Lane and the southern crags of P-y-G to the summit and back via the same route. Used the Kahtoola Microspikes 'in anger' for the first time, plenty of snow and a bit of verglas on the crags.
