I did the dozen today in a leisurely 8-1/2 hours. It wasn't leisurely for me as I was going flat out!
Yes, it's a fine day out. I'll go round anti-clockwise next time.
Well done to Vet 50 Dave Holmes from DP who did a fantasic 5.47!! on May 29th is this the fastest vet's time. Geoff?
set off yesterday from Hayfield side with intention of doing full dozen
but deep heather/bilberry/bracken was a prob in a few areas, so ended up taking it a bit easier and having plenty of picnic-ing/sightseeing/rest stops - did 10 in the end - called it a day at Crowden Tower then jogged back via Woolpacks/EdaleCross/Tunstead
got a bit wet intermittently, but mostly a grand day out!
Had a run round this today.
Mist early on made navigation tricky. Sun came out though for a while which was lovely. Last 2.5 hours in the dark.
Tracklogs says I did near 30 miles and 12,400 of ascent.
A good hard day out.
