Lovely route but with quite a bit of road towards the end.
Any pink alpacas or emus;-)
Re: High Peak 40 Challenge
Jan, presumably that's to send to specific email addresses, same as the free version of Yousendit which I've used?

Saw some pink sheep in the Lakes once. The farmer told me that he'd let his young lad and his mates put the colour spot thingys on his flock and they'd got a bit silly and basically painted them.
Maybe a few pink alpacas around Hedben but not many the the Peak so if you see any don't follow them, as you're probably halucinating!
Honestly I found this easy enough to find my way around. Maybe I had more people to follow than most.

Mrs. Crumblydown is doing a recce with Mr. Crumblydown. If i can keep up with her, job's a good un, alpaca a jar of coffee to keep me awake and stop the hiluminations;-)
Re: High Peak 40 Challenge
You'll get in Steve. It's still early days. I don't think that race sells out, though given the way other races have been filling, a sell-out year might not be too far away. I'll see you (and loads of others) at Buxton Community School.
Re: High Peak 40 Challenge
Managed to recce the last 1/3 or so from Tideswell to the school in Buxton, well worth the recce, one or two tricky bits, some sole destroying road, and not a pink arrow in sight, (may need new glasses) still I suppose there's always chance of an appearance nearer the time. ;)
Re: High Peak 40 Challenge
A bit of valuable advice, Crumblydown. For the race wear tougher shoes that can take care of themselves then you'll only have your soul to worry about. :)
