Uhm Emmi has mentioned the round Rotherham thing. I do quite fancy it, although it would be a massive step up for me. Then again these things are pretty low key are'nt they?

I haven't done the Offas, but Tarren (John Marsh) used to do it, remember him saying it was an excellent route and a good day out.
It is a great day out, well organised with good food and an entertaining route - a great pity it clashes with the Three Shires.
Great! Really looking forward to it, a nice low key and relaxed day out after the rigours of this weekend's mountain trial.
I ran on Moel Famau last night and could see right across to Cader Idris, a stunning evening - I hope it's like that for this event.
Nice to have a long distance event 20 mins drive from home :)
Completed my first LDWA event from Wistanstow last Saturday. 26 miles around Clun and Bishops Castle. Just superb, I can't recommend these enough and will certainly be doing more. Food and water available at fire stations on the way round and a meal at the end!
Thanks for earlier advice about footwear - wore Mizuno Harriers and could not have felt better.
Apologies if this is slightly off-topic, but have other LDWA members received an August Strider?
Thanks Moley, I will chase them.
Just been running around the Clwydians for a couple of hours in fantastic conditions, should be great for you over the weekend. I'd love to have done one of the courses, but I'm looking after the wee yins.
You'll have no excuse for getting lost, there are loads of signs. Could you copy you map/route so that I could recce it on a training run sometime?
Have fun.
