Hiya Daz, 77 for me today in the aptly named winter hill race. Good running Dan, nice one.
Good to see you at Anglezarke, Andy. Onwards and upwards; things can only get better. Glad you noted the fastest finishing time because the timekeepers struggled to work it out when I asked them. They gave up in the end even though only a handful had finished at that point. The organiser said he'd put a list of names and times on the South Lancs LDWA website. I'll keep my fingers crossed because the last time they did that was in 2009!

I'm going to do Cloud 9 next month, it should be a bit more of a race than Peat Pits 2 (which I will still do as well).

Wadsworth Trog will be my only outing in February - was originally planning Ilkley Moor, but then the mighty Bantams only went & got themselves to a proper Wembley final.......decisions, decisions? Nah! :thumbup:
So, after rolling in just over an hour after the evergreen Karl Gray, I reckon my points for February are 60 (3.57.20 against 2.49.11)
Next up will be another long outing at Edale, where I don't suppose the front-runners will be too concerned about the disastrous effect they'll have on our points tally!

6 best months out of 12 to count, so doesn't matter so much if you miss the odd month
no retrospective claiming of races past the first week of the following month (barring slow results or being away on hols etc)
ovenden for me today Carl Bell turned up to spoil a real points fest (it's in our Grand Prix too).
He finished in 56.33 I managed 68.20 for 79 points. :thumbup:

Beacon Bash was the muddiest bog fest I've ever known. Times were generally thought to be slowed by up to half an hour. The previous day's Parbold Hill race had helped to liquify part of our route as usual. ;) Chatting with the organiser afterwards, the usual sub-3hr fastest time became 3:15, while mine became 3:43. There were more runners than I recall up to 2008 when I last ran it.
I just about held onto my shoes in all those shue-sucking fields - it was a close call many times. My legs feel well used and they are scarred from the bramble trip hazards, but what a grand day out with perfect weather. :thumbup: I make that 86 points please, Daz. A few pictures are here.
I've upped my Feb score to 50 :thumbup: with Oxenhope night run - winner 39:31, me 59:24 :w00t:
March is Black Combe (I don't expect many points from that) then Haworth Hurty Hobble which I shall just be glad to finish!

Hi Daz. Can youy please bin my paltry 64 for Feb & replace it with a magnificent 94 from the S Shropshire Circular. First home in 4:50, my time 5:08. And what a great day out it was! Races for March: Wuthering Hike, Heptonstall Fell Race, Hardmoors 55. Which sounds a bit scary now I've written it down. For future reference (April) do mountain marathons qualify or not?

Hiya Daz, it's been a busy weekend for me. Did the Dark un on friday 86 points, then Flower Scar on saturday 76 points and finally, Ilkley moor on sunday 75 points. Can I please have Mr Sparkle's Dark Un for my february total.....cheers.
New Chew....short score... for me in February. In the race I scored 30 points and the winner got 140. Not sure how you calculate the points for the champs table? time on this one is irrelevant as its a score event.

cyclops - I think we decided that score events would be on a sliding scale between the winner's points and half the winner's points (i.e. on the principle that if you go at half the winner's pace in a normal race you'd get double the time and hence zero points, and if you go at half the winner's pace in a score event you'd get half their score) so I'm afraid that 30 compared to 140 doesn't get you any points!

I'll have a 56 please for the HPM (same score for Hes too) - our time 11:19 vs winning time of 7:52. With a bit of luck we'll both trump that at the end of the month at the Edale Skyline :)
