Well I would imagine you're all running by now (not that you'll be able to read this until you next log in).
The weather over south manchester looks lovely (from the office window).
Wish I was there too. Hope you all have a good recce.
Tim
It was/is, there was a slight frost as well, the peat bog is actually starting to crack as it dries out! in places. Did the down and up, not reccomended to any one with tired legs although I picked a different line as it was quicker than my last attempt.
Joined by Splatcher and Spookster, Fozzy and Leeds Rhino didn't arrive by the planned time so we had to set off. hope they made it.
IDP - Got your PM, thanks. But wasn't sure if I was going to do it last night (Leeds Rhino told me at the track last night he wasn't really up for it), and I wasn't feeling too well, so made a late decision this morning to go down and do it. Got to Mam Nick about 11 and ran round - some trouble finding the trod of the path on Rushup Edge, but got it eventually. Also found a nice bog to roll around in - took me a while to get out. Also think I've sorted the racing line out behind Woolpacks. Didn't feel very well going back up to Mam Nick though.
Thanks for the route advice from Leeds also - I know the Strines road well because I used to live in Grenoside and always went that way when I went into the Dark Peak.
What is the situation with parking? Is there a temporary carpark somewhere, If so how far is it from the start line?
if we are using the usual one it's 5 minutes walk to registration in a farmers field (possibly with a small fee to farmer)so when you go to registration take all your hill kit with you as you'll need to go through kitcheck.
Remember start line is 10 minutes from Registration and there is also a spot check on the bridge or by the last stile by the start
