Only done it once before and that was the year (3 or 4 years ago?) when there was no Scafell Pike, which I imagine kind of makes a difference. the climb up Dale Head was fairly hard as it was. . .

You're right, it used to be great but the dynamics of it have certainly changed over the last 2 years at least. It's completely independant of the race anyway and I've no idea exactly why it's been cancelled but for the last 2 years ago there was a noticeable difference in the ages of the party go-ers and last year if you were anything over 19 you were ancient!!! :eek:Quote:

Just looking at the results for the last few years - does anyone have a rough guide as to what time I should be aiming for to be at the checkpoints prior to Honister in order to meet the 3:30 cut off eg what time should I be on top of Gt Gable ?
Isn't it 4:30 at Honister?
Based on what I've done in the past, I'd say Scafell in about 2:45, Great Gable 3:45.
