KC could be sublime and also play by numbers. Even his own Soul Serenade (Capitol 5109) could vary from album to album but this live track is superb.
I had one album of his Atco "hits" which was so bad I threw it away; on the other hand his Soul Twist (Enjoy1000- the first and only hit for this great named label) is Mr Ousley at his grooviest.
