Had a word with Brent and he is taking my place. Hopefully, I can work out how to transfer the entry! Thanks. The fee will go to local mountain rescue.:)

Tha's a big girl's blouse. What's all this about "fell training"? I never do enuff distance training to properly justify entering long 'uns but it doesn't stop me. Blowing up 1/2 way round is part of the experience for me.
So less of the namby pamby talk and get thee sen on that start line.
What's with you SS are you crock again?
I have a place available for swap if anybody is interested? I would love to be doing it but injury says I can't :(
Although I'll see you all at the road crossing at the Hill Inn as I've been roped into marshalling there!
Hi everyone,
This is the my first time doing the 3 Peaks, but by no means my first long fell race. Hope everyone's training is going well - I got a good 21m in on Sunday over Derwent Edge and Win Hill in the Peak District.
I was just wondering what people do about water/sports drinks. Would I be best running with a bladder i.e. Inov8 Race Pro12 and taking my own, or are there sufficient water stations along the course? I think I'd rather run with my OMM 3L with essential kit because it's obviously not as heavy.
Any thoughts welcome.
Cheers,
Tom.
You can put your own provisions in a plastic bag marked with your number and it will be taken to Ribblehead for you. There is water available there but perhaps not for the middle to back of the field:mad:
I was in the Middle to back end and there was water for me - 4:39 finishing.
I took 2 x empty tropicana orange bottles - you know the little stumpy ones with screw tops.
1 with water in.
the 2nd with High Five 4:1 Energy Source Powder ONLY - and used it to mix with my water when I required.
This year I'm going to do the same but take some nuun tablets as well.
Trialling them at the AW this weekend for the first time.
You can leave your provisions, but it did look a bit of a mad scramble at times and I know some that had there's taken - maybe in error - who knows.
You could always get someone you know at the Hill Inn ready with a pint;) That's my plan anyway:D

Too late to change entry now. Missed the date. I could still beat you with NO training:D
Pity, no transport. The car has gone to the great scrappy in the sky.:p
Right! That's enough of that!
Last big training session done before the big day. Anything more is just going to wear me out.
So it is down to a quiet two-week taper which I'm quite looking forward to now.
