couldn't face a run - legs aching too!
Went to the gym and did a spin 'extreme' class although suprisingly it wasn't as hard as it used to be:D
splash in the pool to follow - racing an old boy next to me - sorry couldn't resist!! - no he wasn't wearing armbands:rolleyes:
sauna and hydro pool to finish - lovely:)
Did 11.98 miles this morning with Sinatra at 9.15 this morning. Starting from Beacon Lane Car Park, todays run was along the Ashurst Beacon Fell Race course up to the Wiggin Tree. From there we crossed the road and did the Parbold Hill Race course starting and finishing at the Wiggin Tree. Finally we ran back down past the quarry, across Lees Lane and up hill back back to the Beacon before finishing at the nearby car park.
A great run through all types of terrain with some stiff hills to climb along the route.
Had a problem at the 5.5 mile marker coming through some very heavy muddy pathways and fields I turned my knee joint in deepish mud and had to take 5 mins out to try and get it to go back in (a long standing problem) managed to carry on although was not quite right. Struggled a bit on the hills in the last couple of miles. But very happy to have managed to complete the route on a very good course. Only downside today is I may have put myself out of the Snowdon race next week. Will have to rest up a few days and assess the situation.
45 mins along the riverside trails. 'Brisk' pace, verging on 'hard' at times
5 mile this morning on roads. (Well just about this morning I did it that late)
10 miles this evening on the moors. Nice day.
2mile club relay
bloody windy , 11.07
A bit of a plod.
Sat on my hotel balcony in Lake Placid ( site of Winter Olympic games in 1980) overlooking the lake that I have just run around. Hotel is full of guys and gals who completed the Lake Placid IronMan Tri yesterday.
Feel a bit inadequate next to these shaven legged freaks. Guy I spoke too did the Marathon leg in 3.31 and its a very hilly course too.
Lovely evening, fantastic place and stuning stunning views. I rather like it here
Once again - enjoy the rain;)
ajohns, I can report is has not rained here since I awoke 2 hours ago!!! Glossop is dry. Hopefully some summer weather today.
5 miles this morning.
Track later.
7.5 miles last night with the dog on the hills and I enjoyed it, first time for a while! :D
