No cycling for me! Ran to work last night though....................
I went into Bill Nixons today to buy some new tyres for my hybrid since i literally wore the back tyre though and it split:o - atleast i got my monies worth and got its full potential out of it though eh.;)
There was two Kona major jakes staring me in the face, oooooo if i had a grand sitting around somewhere i'd go and add that to my collection.
Then it'd be the ppp cyclocross race to put on my to-do list.
12 miles on Singlespeed crosser, first bike ride since 10th December last year, funny how quick your rear end gets soft:eek:
I hope to post up a ride here tomorrow :D
9:30 in Whalley any lurkers who fancy a ride out.
Snuk in a 51 mile ride to the top of Rhigos Mt and back. Superb climbing above what remained of the snow line and some good views of the Beacons. Road conditions fine, no ice on the mountain, though in a little shady spot in the valley led to my back wheel deciding to go in a different direction to the front:eek: PLease don't tell anyone;)
Hoping to get out on the MTB this week, its been a month!
well done mate, be careful with that rear end
Finally called in at Mercian today to get measured for my winter bike. Ive decided on Reynolds 631, A Strada Speciale in dark blue with real cool lugs, the frame will be highlighted in white.
Ive opted for a slightly less racier position so im having a diddy size:).
Spent a good few hours in the shop and two old boys came in and started telling me about the days when men were men and the tourmen was SUPERMEN.
I asked them about the old days and they talked for an hour and a half about criterium races in the sixties.
A lovely shop and a great bunch of guys. Nothing to much trouble at Mercian.
60 odd on the push iron today with the club. At last, no ice/snow - just more potholes caused by the ice! Went over Croston way, quite uneventfull and not very fast fortunately.
