Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Went out for my 1st ever night run on Wednesday started in Edale.Headed off up Jacobs Ladder and Kinder low but before the summit peeled off right towards Crowden Tower and back down Grindsbrook Clough (which was proper knarly in snow and ice).Finished off at the Ramblers Inn.Cant wait to do it again.
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Good run out last night with the club. c5.8miles / 800ft around Kildwick and Bradley. Ran in shorts and for a few seconds every now and then I felt vaguely athletic :closed:
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Solo. 3 x 550ft hill reps on Ilkley Moor. Best I've felt for six months :)
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
A 4 mile jaunt up the Wessenden valley and back. A tad windy. Scared some teenagers in a playground in the outskirts of Marsden. Bonus!
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Brilliant run tonight over Pike low with 18 other, cold wind but still surprisingly warm. Used H14 on full beam for most of the run. Fantastic, but showed signs of batteries going by the end but thats after 7 hours 3 of which have been on 220 lumins. This is with the batteries it comes with. Time to up the action and put in some beefy batteries.:)
Nice pint after

.......cut the tech blurb IDP. What you have failed to point out is that the said sooper dooper headtorch failed to operate correctly when you were assaulted on a particularly cacky peat hag.
They saw you coming......the torch salesman that is ...not unlike your assailants.

I see that having finally rattled your cage you've decided to out your self by admitting to trying to assault me in a bog. George Michael would be proud of you ;) Thats the problem with these Tri fairies, the minute the're away from tarmac they get all clingy:w00t:
good to see you about again ginge :)
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
9miles this evening on the Solent Way with Stef from Lymington to Keyhaven and back. Very flat but lovely run accompanied by sounds of waders and wildfowl. Long run planned tomorrow around Butser Hill on the South Downs

Last night's run up Little Ingleborough very clear and bright. Managed the ascent without a headtorch.
Ali from Bowland gave us a lecture on astronomy!! :)
