Fantastic Paul. Very much looking forwards to seeing you there. The plan for the day will be a Marshals briefing at 8am Hay on Wye School by the main car park. Race starts at 10. If you and Dave want to pitch up closer to 10 then that is fine, I can give you both a separate brief. I will also issue written instructions for sweepers during the week.
Have you any questions about the route??
Wheeze, I thought it was 11am start - as per the website! Might want to change the website if the start is now 10am.
Quote from the website home page 'First Running – Saturday August 9th at 11 a.m. Race Limit 100.'
I'll be there for the briefing at 8am - assuming it's now a 10am start...
(I'm happy I've the route nailed)

Well spotted Paul! I decided to change the start time in June but I neglected to update the homepage.
I will email all entrants to see if 10 am is OK for them.
The reason for the change is that Dave Austin ran the full course in 5 hours which means I am expecting the tail of the field to take closer to 7. An 11 am start would have the tail finishing at 6. So i decided to bring forward the start by one hour. But of course I have failed to communicate this.
Stand by and I will see what the entrants think.
So far every one seems OK with the 10 am start.
This is really weird, a brand new AL race over a cracking route and few entries . What is wrong with everyone, route too tough, scared of getting lost in Wales when there aren't 100 runners to follow?
I dunno, very odd, no sense of adventure in modern racers? Last chance to get your entries in and enjoy a day in the Black Mountains (and cop some verbal abuse from me and Missus at our checkpoint) :p.
S'ok Moley. I wont make a mountain out of a molehill!
We're up to 20 which is fine by me. A good number to test the course but not to overstretch us first time out.
I will be there for 0800, bit of a social chat with others and minimise the amount of briefs you need to do.
I have looked over the course but not in detail, I will closer the time though. Unfortunately no chance to recde for me though. All will be fine.
I cant wait for this race, it will be a cracking day.
