Don't get to carried away folks its only the first game.
city looked very good. I couldnt help think how lop sided premiership football is now though, and of course these 2 sides are at the complete opposite ends of the scale. Any one of citys team was worth atleast all of Swansea's 11 financially. It didnt feel right that even before kick off it was obvious one side would win in a canter. City must have a big chance to win the league with this squad.
Richard, there are two sections for away fans aswell as the North stand, lower West and East. Both sectioned off from the homefans. you'll be alright.
Hearts 0 - 5 Spurs
Hopefully we'll not hear any more of them moaning Jocks wanting to come down and join the Premier League only to get relegated 2 divisions in consecutive seasons :D :D
Dont think we will need too big a section mate. The club are not running any official coaches and there is no way to get back on the train after the match so it will be down to a hard core of independent travellers. The old chant 'did you come in a taxi' could well be appropriate
Bolton 2 - Man City 3.
Another cracking game that City were involved in. Bolton didn't stop all the way to the end and contributed to a really enjoyable game of football.
Looks like it will be a very low turn out tonight. The one indepedent coach being organised has been cancelled due to lack of interest. Our 2 day trip fell through so i am getting a lift down setting off at 1.00. M6 is currently closed southbound near Wigan with a 7 mile queue but hopefully it will have cleared by the time we are on our way
Disappointed and knackered, off for a run this morning to cheer myself up
Just got back from Morecambe's win at Northampton. 2nd in League Div2, highest ever league position.
The days of the old Lancashire Combination seem a long time ago
Manchester 13 - North London 3
Who'd have thought that the North London derby could be a relegation 6 pointer?
This will test the qualities of the 2nd hand car salesman Harry Redknapp :p
I'd 8-2 be an Arsenal fan right now
still think man u have wasted 18 mill on a keeper who couldnt catch a cold .
winning 8-2 and all you could hear were the arsenal fans. how pathetic
We'll see. I think he could come through well. He could be at the club in 20 years time. so 18 mill isn't bad. needs to bulk up.
Think its all a bit OTT at the moment re form..look at Chelsea's start last year. So Liverpool, City and United fans need to just haul it back a bit.
United look fluid, much quicker than last year but that team knew how to win effectively. They could kill off a game. Think the kids will have a few blips.
Long way to go.
Flack Wenger is getting is off. Top manager. The club is healthy, the balance is healthy, but the risk of buying and developing youngsters from abroad is they'll naturally want to go home or back to the teams they idolised as kids. So the Ronaldo's, fabregas's will naturally want to see out their careers at the Barca's or Mardids..and arsenal may have got caught out whereas United planned and had enough options to cope with Ronaldo leaving. Needs a big season from Wiltshere and Ramsay et al. Rosicky looks awful at the moment.
re Nasri...top player but certainly has that french flair...if controlled and made happy he'll be some player that was why I fancied Fergie to get him..
Owen Hargreaves to Man City subject to passing a medical
Manchester United are one of our feeder clubs Richard :D

We still feel guilty for taking Giggs....good luck to Hargreaves though, one of the nicest men in football, top pro. Hope he gets back, I'd have loved for United to have kept him, he even offered to stay for free but the club advised him not to do that. Good guy.
I said to myself that I'd keep out of this thread this season, but I've had a few beers so what the hell!
Good luck to Owen Hargreaves - the guy really deserves a break. None of the top teams are going to take a risk on him so it's nice that he's getting the chance to continue his career elsewhere.
:D
Welcome to Manchester Owen.
It's far to soon to try and evaluate this transfer now. I say lets come back to your post at the end of the season and evaluate it then, it's only fair.
Owen, here's your next chance, let's see if they've put you together properly, and with aparently one of the best medical teams in the world, I'm quite looking forward to it .
He's a great player and a great guy - I really hope he does do well for you and then he can probably get a move to a bigger club like Sunderland.
:sneaky:
In a similar manner i wish Bellamy good luck at Liverpool, he ran his arse off for us, second only to Tevez for player of the season in 2010 and I guarantee he'll get a great reception when he returns. Do you reckon Owen will get a good reception at the swamp when he returns with us?
Good news, Morecambe beat Crawler 6-0 to go top of League Division 2 for the first time in their history
Bad news, i missed it because i was laying a laminate floor
A fantastic player. I've got no way of knowing whether your statement is true The Heathens, but wasn't the big problem in him leaving City last year with his wages? I heard in an interview, the man himself say that he couldn't take a pay cut because he had committed financially to causes in Africa and that people were relying on him. Now maybe that was only for a set period which has now ended because otherwise it would make his offer to play for free an even more curious one.
Straight from the horses mouth:

A bit of a dire match at Dagenham yesterday but a wins a win and 2 points clear at the top. Another win next Saturday and i might contemplate a day trip to Torquay in a fortnight
richard are you coming to the valley of death?
More than likely but not until 14th Jan. The way things are going there, a City/Park Aveneue derby might only be a couple of years away. They could be saved this year because of the situation at Plymouth and because Hereford are even more shite than Bradford. Despite the dire position they are in, City brought 1600 to the Globe Arena a couple of weeks ago
4,300 at the Globe Arena last night for the JPT derby against the Nobenders. Two down after 20 minutes, got it back to two all only to lose 7-6 on penalties. It all turned a bit nasty at the end with a pitch invasion by the Preston fans, objects being thrown then a rather unpleasent walk home trying to avoid the gangs of lads from both sides looking for a rumble.
Back to the more friendly atmosphere of Division 2 on Saturday with a 3rd v 4th clash against AFC Wimbledon
Rooney banned for the first 3 games of Euro 2012 - cupid stunt
....and Alex Ferguson says he left Rooney out of Man Utd team today because he is "devastated" by his England Euro 2012 suspension."
B*llocks, he's left him out because he wants his best players fresh against us next Sunday as Baconface knows that match is bigger than todays match no matter what he says.
Sounds like there was some fun at the Lancaster City - Halifax Town FA Cup Qualifier this afternoon. Crowd trouble after Halifax scored in the 3rd minute caused the match to be held up for half an hour
Morning Heathens :D
