how does the master like his gravy?
We tried to talk a fit looking stud to into joining us today at Hexamshire but alas he said "neigh lads", his photo should be on website in the near future, if I can persuade the Master.

Well done winning ponnies
Well done emmilou and Fleeter, don't share your prizes, choccies and gravy uurgh:eek: Fleeter i notice from one of your posts you have a cyclocross bike. Fancy the 3 Peaks Cyclocross. I was in for this year but it got cancelled. Entry forms for next year go online 15 July 2008. May be difficult to get in as everyone who gained an entry this year is guaranteed one next year. No harm trying though, people drop out with injuries other commitments etc. We could be Team Fell Pony. Aiming to do the Stoop for my next race. Any other Ponies doing that one? See you soon:cool:
Christmas Ponies! Tremendous.
Master, we need to change my joke of the week.
Aargh!
Woke up today with a verucca on me hoof. Bloody Verucca Fairy.
Master you appear to have many postings today, I thought you were busy at work ?? seeing as how you used that feeble excuse to whimp out of leg 1.
A wise move I must say with hail snow and rain, took a spectacular tumble coming off Blencathra and have the bruises to prove it.
Well, that BG leg 1 recce was something of an adventure. It demonstrated beautifully the fact that the weather and temperature change dramatically with altitude. The slog up Skiddaw was a bit of a test.
Now, I know I am stating the bleedin' obvious, but, whereas the Peak District tends to go 'up, down, up, down, up, down', in the Lakes you go 'up, up, up, and up some more, then down, down, down and down again.... and 'tis a different experience.
On the top of Skiddaw, the wind was fierce enough to knock even a dray like myself over, and the spits of rain turned into needles of ice (forgive the poetic licence;) ).
As I thought to myself, "Better take these specs off or else the wind'll have 'em", the wind had 'em. They flew off into the icy abyss. BUGGER!
The Crumblies joined the search, and after a freezing five minutes, Mrs C. gleefully frollicked up the hill brandishing specs, "Got 'em", she cried... "Great, but they're not mine!!!"
After another couple of minutes, it became apparent they were gone and we were risking hypothermia, so I pocketed the new specs and the descent took us out of the wind. Spectacular scenery, but the cold and driving wind and sleet tempered my enthusiasm a bit!!
A bit weary by Blencathra, but the conditions were a bit... special, shall we say!
And the new specs, weren't exactly right but good enough to get me home.
I have to say, anyone doing a winter round must be mentally as hard as nails. I know the conditions there can be far worse than yesterday, and go on to complete the full hit in anything like that would take some doing.
Well done on the weekend's acheivements Emmi and Fleeter... you can rely on me to keep the Ponies well represented at the other end of the field!
Glad you enjoyed ?? yourself Lantern, testing little number wasn't it. By the way I've got you some Bloc spec ties save freezing our nuts off next time, I'll give them to you at weekend.
New batch of vests have arrived. will get them to the Master asap for distribution.
What sizes have you got??
I may have found the ideal Christmas present for a virile club member.
So to speak. Allegedly. Possibly.
