Plenty above 400m in the Lakes. We stayed at low level in Eskdale, had the children with me. Driving cold wind yesterday and several hours of snowfall.
Nice today though.

Plenty on Kinder last night. Certainly enough for Adam & his mates (who were all wearing shorts:eek:) to have a pretty aggressive snowball fight.

The snow combined with the clearing sky meant we didn't need headtorches until about 8.20pm.

I was near by today and we had quite a bit but Kinder looked plastered!

Get ready for a good winter. Some blogs are predicting a more severe one than last year. USA is going to kop it too, Eastern seaboard cold, mid west big snow. If the interweb is to be believed we are in for more of the white stuff!

A dusting on Snowdon this morning.... and not a cloud in the sky as the sun came up..... and frost across the fields by the river where the swans were paddling....and a cloud inversion meant the cloud was pouring down out of Aberglaslyn.... absolute heaven:))

....and I had to be in Bristol for midday...:thunbdown:

I will be in Castleton at the weekend Dazzaroo. Do you think I will be able to build a snowman there? I could build it on the green. I shall take a carrot for the nose. Just in case :)

Yes take a carrot. You could go up mam tor and build a snowman near the trig.

I was in Malham at the start of the foot n mouth crisis in 2001 and it snowed. We weren't allowed on the fields so we built a snowman outside the pub. No carrot though, we had to make a rock nose and use moss for hair.
