8.5 mile on the roads mid afternoon today in very warm and sunny conditions around Cronton, Farnworth and Rainhill.
6ml run with club followed by 4ml brisk walk home from pub. Stunning night to be out!
3 miles 1100ft. Up alphin.Just over 25mins
Up and down helvellyn, never been up before, took about 80mins up, 30mins down. Absolutley cracking day to be out. Had an absolute blast.
1 1/2 hrs on hilly roads last night, some ~1500ft in all. Still but cold.
3m to work, 8m/1656ft home, rest day tomorrow, beer and curry tonight:cool:

5 miles over very rough terrain Chest deep bracken, waist deep heather, thigh deep billberry.:eek:

To make matters worse I've got a throat infection and can hardly swallow.
Just 2 miles. Upto Mossley Cross and back. 12:46. About 500ft ascent
Skins run this morning in the glorious sunshine. 2 1/4 hrs circular route from Holme village, up to the moss, Tooleyshaw, West End, down to Crowden, back up the PW to Black Hill before cutting off to Holme and the car. Lots of ramblers out today.
You weren’t by any chance recceing this Monday’s summer series race were you?
Just got back from a recce of Mondays race, from CP 1 to 3 is pretty much as you described, at least the last half is very runable:D

Good pub near the finish and has a great descent for the last two miles with only Baily hill to climb.
I need a good result to get my yellow jersey back. Only three races left, I'm on hols for one and won't get a good result on the last one...
19m/5000ft Beautiful clear day but reisisted the urge to sit down and drink it in at Stoodley Pike and plodded merrily on. Didn't time myself, just ran for the sheer pleasure of being alive:cool:

A Garmin measured 3.48 miles on the undulating roads and canal bank around my house. 20 mins 16; 5.49min/mile :cool:
Sedbergh Hills - Full Route - around 4 hours.
Never known it so dry - other than Bram Rigg Beck and Langdale Beck, I never got my feet wet.
And for the first time I saw the top of the Calf as I approached it:)
I imagine the course record will be under threat unless there's lots of rain over the next few weeks - not by me ofcourse;)

5.5 miles yesterday from Prescot back home to Cronton passsng through Blundells Hill along the way. Will have to make do with a late run today as carpet fitters are in fitting new carpets throughout the house.

Very slowly getting back into it, at the beginners stage again, getting better in my health and have started to power walk everywhere, then on Thursday going to run/walk but starting from the very beginning. Won't bore you with details, just wanted to say hi.
killer race tonight. cuts scratches and stings all over.
worked damn hard tonight that would have been a win most days but two stars turned up so only 3rd but still a cracking time.

Speed sessions in the park.
1 mile warm up followed 1.15 minute speed intervals with 1.00 minute rest dropping by 15 sec and then back again.
Good fun really;)
8X 400m with 90sec recovery.. 66seconds.. KILLER!

spent the last 5 days camping in Zinal got some cracking running and walking in including the Sierre Zinal race and going up to 3250m on one day in our vest and shorts :D
40 miles 15000ft ascent done and maybe 5 litres of red wine and many large beers
