Re: Borrowdale Fell Race 2012
8 weeks to get my legs used to hills again (and big ones at that!). Great Lakes, SLMM, Wasdale and my first taste of BG support should do (some of) the trick!
Re: Borrowdale Fell Race 2012
8 weeks sounds like very little time doesn't it!
Must get some 3hr+ hill runs in.....
Re: Borrowdale Fell Race 2012
Does anyone have split times for the CPs up to Honister inorder to avoid the cut-off at 3:30pm at Honister?
Re: Borrowdale Fell Race 2012
I'd say Scafell 1:45 pm
Great Gable 2:45 pm.

My suggestion for the latest times to arrive at the checkpoints would be:
Bessy Boot 11:54 am
Esk Hause 12:52 pm
Scafell Pike 13:32 pm
Great Gable 14:44 pm
Honister 15:29 pm
Give or take a minute or two :D

Thanks for this, Alf. I have been given a place, so I'll be writing these times on my arm, in the hope that I'll keep within them.
Re: Borrowdale Fell Race 2012
If you get to Scafell Pike at 1:45, aren't you going to struggle to make it to Great Gable for 2:45??
My splits from 2011:
Bessy Boot: 11:50.
Esk Hause: 12:40.
Scafell Pike: 13:10.
Great Gable 14:10.
Honister 14:55 - Foot went, had to stop and relace and then walk for a fair bit round Brandreth.
Dale Head: 15:25.
Rosthwaite: 15:55.

Mmmmh know the feeling Nic, entry accepted, except it's 7 weeks of hills and mountains training now. I'm sure the Thursday track sessions will play their part! :)
