A great time and well done indeed Phil. Shame I wasn't there this year, but maybe next.

Can I please put the record straight before I'm hung drawn and quartered,
I did congratulate Philomena on her win(she failed to mention that to you)
All I said was"It's a pity Sally(course record holder)or Sarah didn't run otherwise we'd of had a clean sweep of the positions", that's it, that's all I said
There was no mention of her being not a worthy winner, like some of you said on here you can only beat what's put infront of you.
I have sent her an apology on the GVS site and I will personally, when I see her.
But aren't people quick to judge, maybe you should all look at yourselves before you jump in feet first
Enjoy your running
I've spoken to Jonah8 tonight and we both agree that things have been said that shouldn't have been said on both sides. Given the nature of the event and the fact that runners had been on their feet for several hours, things can easily said or misinterpreted due to simple tiredness. I’ve apologised to Jonah8 for any of my comments which may not have been accurate and he in turn has spoken to Philomena.
He also told me about his disappointment about the posts on this thread regarding the time of the winner and nature in which it was achieved. All of which he thinks has been misrepresented and detracted from a magnificent individual and team Stockport Harriers performance.
Lets all move on and do what we do best...insanely take part in these long distance events like the Bullock Smithy!
Don't you just love a happy ending?
Well done all, a few words mainly of my own run at the blog below. Does anyone know who was taking photos on the side of the moor just after the Moorside Hotel?
I think it was the husband of a GVS runner - were they on the left hand side after the gate? Stuart was also taking pictures before the road crossing to the Moorside. Im sure he'll put them up on the GVS website soon.
sorry i have taken so long to reply on here, just like my poor skills at navigation, using a compass map reading and spelling , so are my computer skills and sorting out forgotten passwords again and again.
Things were said that i was probably sensitive to, and he genuinley did not mean to upset me.
Mark mistakenly interprated how i felt into what he thought was said.
Jonha8 and I have had a chat last night we are all sorted and planning a GVS and Stockport social run together one sunday.
once again well done to all who finished, exerlent times by Stockport, i know how mch hard work goes into preparing for this event.
For me, originally my plan was to beat 12hrs 4min by just 5mins to get a sub 12 hr. By Millars Dale I realised this was not going to happen, so then continued on my run to finish around 12hrs 30. I dont know what came over me at about mile 44, I had heard that Paul was only five mins ahead so went allout to catch him, with 5 miles to go i passed him and the two ladies, no way did i ever think that i would get first place. It was very hard on middlewood way mentally and physically. but i finished in one piece 20 mins slower than i wanted, but with an orniment that needs polishing weekly.
Also it was not me that ran up the field across the road at peeperday, i followed the correct route to Edake cross, 100%.
so will i come back next year? we,ll see.
About time and I thought you said never again!!
You fail to mentioned how you dumped me at 44 miles after many splendid hours of running together ;) and yes unless you had double I believe you ran with me to edale cross up the path whilst stuffing our faces with a club biscuit.
Alls well that ends well :)
