Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Last night: Up and over the Wrekin a couple of times. Nice moon lit night so no need for the head torch on top but needed in the forest at the bottom. Encountered a herd of about thirty deer halfway up the south side. Heard a load of russeling and looked up to see nothing but pairs of big eyes. Frightened the crap out of me. Never seen that many deer on the Wrekin.

Yes, last night was a belter for the Bowland Bat Run. 12 of us up Ingleburger from the Hill Inn!
Re: Tonight's headtorcher
Greenfield - up over Alderman - bit of body'ing for the SARDA lot (Ken and his border collie, Abbie, Woodhead MRT) - once found back up over Alderman in near zero vis and a stumble down through the 'pea souper' back home....:)

Hi Ian,
She was mate, by all accounts a tough weekend, only 4 out of the 7 dogs got through their grading, the weather was relentless...Abbie & Kens upgrade in a couple of weeks, naye problems there though me'thinks - crackin' dog and handler..
