Very true - buts its still a Calder valley race, which makes it a fell equivalent to the school egg and spoon. (apart from the trog of course which a bit more like the three legged race).

I think its only fair of the mighty KCAC to show some support to the little clubs.
I wish I was the only one (my group being everyone over 40) it would have made it easier, alas I only cam 4th overall out of all cats, it came close to the wire in the end. Year before that i came second and I think Ballentine won it. It was only fair to let one of CV win this time.
I was trying to persuade Brett last night that the series should be part of next years KCAC championship but I am not sure you could take the humiliation.

Well you will have to lobby the KCAC committee next jan - I think it would be a good idea, however you normally clash with Buckden and most of KCAC do that because it is a proper race. I do MM as part of my charity work.

Well seeing as Buckden is the 3rd week in June and CV is called Midsummer there is a chance they will ALWAYS CLASH.
Also aren't half you club joining Wharfedale the hosts of Buckden fell race?
