Sounds like a job for the x-talons.:D

Mudclaws may be better on Pendle.
My good old Felldancers will see me reet. Though the stitching's starting to come away a bit...I'm gonna end the race barefoot, aren't I?
I'm planning on standing at the top of big end with a megaphone, shouting encouragement down to the tired runners :p
Can anybody please tell me if a recce is needed of the course for The Tour Of Pendle ? I've seen it a bit late, but fancy doing it.
A recce would definitely help, but I wouldn't say it's a must (I did it last yr having only recced the first half).
For most of the first half you could get by just following the crowd. Second half, the field thins out, and if the clag's down, the routes aren't that obvious.
Still, if you can navigate well, then just take a route map (either from Pete Blands or the Clayton site) & a compass and you should be able to get round.
Ok, cheers for that ! Sounds like a good 'un !
oh it's a good un allright:D
I will be plodding round with another 4 people. It was supposed to be 6 of us but 1 has been frightened off after after reading this forum!!
Yeah its not so bad at all really, I nearly got round it on sunday with no water/food, until it decimated my right leg lol. But that was my fault of going way to fast down a descent.
Ha ha-i know ive done it before. :D
Well the good news is I've decided to turn up for this one. The bad news though is that I'm fairly confident Pendle won't see me at my best  having had the lurgee for the best part of the last two weeks and done bugger all running.
I might even turn up and do a nice pleasant trot round and not bother trying to put my racing head on :)
Aye ohreet?
Once the Stollster hits checkpoint 1 he'll be off through the blood, mud and guts and into the mist and drizzle.. oh that'll be mizzle then.
Pity I won't be racing to push you that little bit harder stolly, hoping to be around on the hill though so don't think youre getting off lightly.:p
I've decided to rest my tiny legs from extreme distances for a while, hamstrings are running on empty.
Good to hear youre back at it.:)
I'll be hanging around somewhere within spitting distance of the pub ;)
Unless I make a miraculous recovery from newly-acquired injury, I could well be with you, ukhursty. Since spitting is a skill I've failed to acquire, I hope the inside of the pub would be an acceptable alternative.
Indeed, I'm hoping for a miraculous recovery. But its un-likely. 10% chance atm.
oops wrong race. meant to post on dunnerdale
CTID
JP up above the streets and houses. Rainbow flying high.
geronimmmmmmmooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooo:)
No need for reminding, just let the beer do the talking after the race lol! That will suppress any notions of regret for doing the race !
Has anyone got a spare right leg? Preferably a long one please, willing to collect within the British Isles ;)
how's parking normally, should we allow much extra time?
